Through this mail, I request you for your support to young lawyer and human rights activist Dipendra Jha. His individual contributions are remarkable: He has brought concerns of marginalized Nepalis to the mainstream through court cases, media advocacy, street activism, seminar room debates, and salon consultations. 

However, what really sets Dipendra apart from several young activists is his ability to form teams and work with others. The THRD is an early success in institution building. He needs our moral support. No one can be sure about future, but such young men and women need to be encouraged to build a future we would all like to see.

Dipendra Jha of THRD alliance has been nominated for Human Rights Tulip award for speaking up against extra judicial killings in Tarai. This is a matter of pride for all of us. Dipendra has for last few years has been working for human rights issues in Traai/madhesh. He has filed and won some landmark cases in the Supreme court for establishing rights of Madhesis in Nepal.
