Hey friends,

It is with a heavy heart that I announce to you all that Chez JJ is closing its last doors next weekend. It's been an incredible journey, and I feel privileged to have met so many bright spirits wandering into the Bay Area. 

As some of you may have heard, Chez JJ is spending its last days dealing with a lawsuit from the grouchy downstairs neighbor from the Caselli location (in San Francisco). Some of you may have even experienced him first hand. I'm currently hoping to reach a settlement quickly (and affordably) so we can move on with our lives. And the owners of the Mountain View house are selling their house, and given the uncertainty of what a new owner would be like, we're going to close that location as well. Which leads us to this: 

If you'd like to support your friends in defending ourselves against the lawsuit troll, (or if you just want some furniture) please shop for the last of our furniture in Mountain View. Offer whatever you think is fair (e.g., good starting point/guideline is in the neighborhood of the "going" rate on Craigslist or half the original cost from IKEA). There are assorted tables, chairs, bookshelves, bunk beds, mattresses of all sizes, futons, queen bed frames, couches, assorted objects of geek fandom, pots, pans, plates, kitchen appliances, you name it. Kirill (cc'd) is also coordinating to sell the stuff on Craigslist, but I feel that alumni should get dibs so I'm giving you a heads up.

Feel free to drop by the house and direct your questions to reigning house captains Ezekiel and Kirill (cc'd).
