Come join us for s’mores and hot cocoa at Chez JJ Story Night! We will be gathering around the fireplace and sharing interesting true stories from our lives or the lives of people we know. These stories can be funny or sad, silly or serious, long or short -- anything as long as they are true! Most people have plenty of history that you normally hear ONLY when the right opening comes up in conversation. Think of Story Night as a life hack to know people much better and much faster than usual. :-)

Everyone is encouraged to have at least one story ready to share. It doesn’t have to be polished or even “story-shaped” in any conventional sense. Still, we would rather you come and just listen than not come at all, so please RSVP right away to yali...@gmail.com. :-)

Below are a few story prompts you could use, though please feel free to go off-prompt:

1) Superhero origin stories: What brought you to the place you are now? What life experiences were particularly influential in shaping your story?

2) Accidents/injuries/tales of woe: Have you ever broken a bone or ended up in the hospital? What are some strange, embarrassing, or unexpected injuries you’ve experienced (physical or otherwise)?

3) Pranks: What are some funny, elaborate, or bizarre pranks you’ve witnessed or been party to?

4) Surprise us: What kind of persona do you present to most of your current friends and peers? Now, given that, what stories from your past do you think would surprise us a lot?
