Dear Neighbors,
Please note that the Traffic Calming Hearing for 63rd Place will happen before the Town Meeting. In the urgency of time with the new school year, I went ahead and scheduled this meeting for 9/11 despite being out of the country. I hope my residents understand that I’ve heard them loud and clear about this request and if I have yet to hear from you, PLEASE provide comment to me and I can forward it to the Town Clerk to be put in the record for the hearing.
Here is a recap of what was discussed during the August 14 Town Meeting. (Agenda)
Resolution R-5-25 - appointing Christina Bruff as the Election Supervisor for the 2025–2027 term.
Ethics Ordinance - second reading of Ordinance O-25-04, which will reenact the Code of Ethics for Cheverly.
Town Administrator’s Report
Hospital Hill Development: Developers have submitted the Preliminary Plan of Subdivision (PPS) to Parks and Planning. The Town will need to provide formal comments on the plan. Please stay tuned for updates, as there may be either a special meeting with the developers or an agenda item at the September Town Meeting where the PPS details will be presented.
Sound the Alarm —
The Red Cross will host a Sound the Alarm event on September 13 in Ward 2 and the Tuxedo area to raise awareness about fire safety and inspect fire alarms.
Reporting Noise Violations
If you experience excessive noise that violates the Town’s code, please report it to the Cheverly Police Department. For urgent concerns outside regular business hours, call 911 and request to be connected with CPD.
Please be mindful of locking vehicles, removing your valuables from your vehicle, and keeping your vehicle in well-lit areas.
