TheAuthentX Suite of Identity Products enables organizations to secure their physical and logical resources. Using strong, cryptographic authentication organizations can be certain the proper individual is granted the proper level of access to their facilities, internal applications and data.As a certified PIV-I provider, XTec is able to issue and manage federally trusted credentials for private entities for physical and logical access.

As a certified end-to-end HSPD-12 solution, the AuthentX product line supports over 70 federal government agencies enabling Personal Identity Verification(PIV) issuance, lifecycle management, logical and physical access control in line with the Federal Identity Credential and Access Management (FICAM) initiative.

AuthentX products are designed to support strong identity authentication and as such are able to support financial transactions reducing the risk to bankinginstitutions as well as account holders. Strong authentication is advocated for health cost savings.

Keeping todays utilities safe from unauthorized and malicious intrusion requires security you can trust. XTecs Physical and Logical Access Control Systems (PACS/LACS) deliver the security your utility needs while you focus on keeping the lights on.

State of the art, secure SE Linux identity management system that performs identity vetting, enrollment, credential issuance, access control permissions and lifecycle maintenance of the identity, credential and permissions.

PC and application access for a smart card. AuthentXware has a fully implemented mini driver and Microsoft API:Next Generation Key Storage Provider. It is capable of biometric desktop logon, PIN reset support, certificate updates and key recovery.

Contact and contactless with PIN or biometric are available for secure authentication. Our state of the art XNode is thebridge between the readers and the AuthentX IDMS. It supports remote updates to card reader configurations and authentication mechanisms.

XTec is the premier provider of authentication and security solutions in today's marketplace. Our keystone solution, AuthentX, offers the only end-to-end, high assurance identity management infrastructure available for Government and commercial enterprises. It supports:

AuthentX's success reflects the experiences of XTec's founders. A small group of research-focused engineers established the company in 1992 with a vision for strong identity authentication. They first targeted counterfeiting and fraud, using reverse engineering to secure ATM and other financial transactions. The technology they developed later informed the creation of AuthentX.

XTec's dynamic combination of unparalleled technology and impeccable staff offers significant value to our customers. Perhaps that's why Federal and commercial enterprises alike continue to choose XTec.

XTec began Federal Government work in the 1990s. Our capabilities as smart card, security, and digital authentication experts first supported physical access control for Department of State; the Department remains an XTec customer. With the 2004 issuance of Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12, the first Government mandate to endorse widespread adoption of smart cards, more Federal Agencies looked to XTec for security solutions.

Our AuthentX IDMS fully vets individuals' identity in accordance with Federal Information Processing Standard 201. We issue Personal Identity Verification credentials and manage those credentials and identities in support of physical and logical access control for Federal facilities and resources.

In April 2011, XTec became one of the first certified PIV-Interoperable credential providers. The PIV-I credential, fully interoperable with the Federal PIV credential, allows Government parties to ensure the validity of non-Federal identities. Due to its certification, XTec can provide strong identity verification, authentication, and access control to commercial and private organizations that want to be interoperable with the Federal Government. Such organizations include:

Many security and authentication solutions on the market today are fragmented. They consist of countless products, providing a model that is difficult to deploy and manage. The complexity of integrated solutions utilizing these products often results in higher costs.

Luna as a Service extends the capabilities of the traditional Luna T-Series HSM appliance which is widely-deployed throughout the U.S. Federal Government. Luna as a Service provides three FedRAMP High authorized service offerings, supported by Thales TCT in the United States in partnership with XTec:

The Luna as a Service Dedicated HSM provides agencies full cryptographic control of the entire HSM without the administrative burden and up-front costs of deploying an on-premises HSM. Offered with either five or twenty cryptographic partitions, the Luna as a Service Dedicated HSM can accommodate multiple applications and enterprise use cases.

The Luna as a Service Managed HSM provides agencies HSM cryptographic capabilities in a scalable, cost-effective model. With capacity for hundreds of objects, the Luna as a Service Managed HSM supports a wide range of integrations while maintaining security and compliance requirements. Administrative tasks such as provisioning, configuring, monitoring, and patching are all performed by U.S.-based Luna as a Service engineers. The Luna as a Service Managed HSM includes access to high availability operations and secure cryptographic object replication across HSMs located in three geographically separated cloud regions.

Thales Trusted Cyber Technologies, a business area of Thales Defense & Security, Inc., protects the most vital data from the core to the cloud to the field. We serve as a trusted, U.S. based source for cyber security solutions for the U.S. Federal Government. Our solutions enable agencies to deploy a holistic data protection ecosystem where data and cryptographic keys are secured and managed, and access and distribution are controlled. AuthentX is the only certified end-to-end high assurance identity management provider that offers the infrastructure necessary to authenticate, validate and authorize both logical and physical access transactions.

Founded in 1992 by accomplished engineers with a vision for strong identity authentication and management XTec was first sought out to investigate, reverse engineer and ultimately prevent viruses and Trojans in ATM's as well as other financial transactions. It was this in-depth knowledge of the inner workings of counterfeit devices and transactions that lead to the development of the AuthentX methodology. AuthentX solutions and products support all high assurance architectures by providing credential issuance, authentication & validation, physical access control and logical access control.

AuthentX solutions and products are engineered with security at the forefront, consequently major AuthentX components are engineered to solve real-world challenges and act as appliances as opposed to other traditional hardware and software equipment. The unique design guards against unauthorized access of any kind, eliminating internal and external threats. With the ingrained security and AuthentX is the only brand of solutions and products that is practical for every day high assurance use.

All AuthentX solutions and products practice strong authentication; that is authentication that prevents all types of fraudulent transactions. By first establishing mutual, two-way trust between devices or applications AuthentX ensures the information communicated is secured (uninterrupted) and can be challenged.

Confirmation that the generator of the request is who they claim to be is accomplished by rapid challenge response and confirmation of current status or validity. Additional authentication and validation processes are able to confirm identity via attributes such as biometrics or unique identifiers, for example. Lastly, authorization involves verification of the requestors' permissions or privileges. All of these steps are needed for true security and with AuthentX are conducted seamlessly keeping the data intact and increasing performance time.

AuthentX solutions and products are created by accomplished in-house engineers resulting in an end-to-end solution that is easy to manage. Many security and authentication solutions offered today are the composed of numerous products; this model is difficult to deploy, manage and maintain. More often than not integrated solutions result in significantly higher cost as a result of the complexity. XTec's engineered solutions are designed to be scalable, agile and practical. It is our philosophy that security does not and should not require long, complex implementation that is difficult to maintain and even harder to update for new emerging threats or additional requirements.
