Is HP going to update the nextwindow voltron touch screen driver for windows 10? Right now Windows 10 will not install because it says the display is not compatible with Windows 10. I have what I believe is the most current driver 3.1.12.4.

Installed the latest NextWindow Voltron Touch Screen (from the Win10 Creators edition - HP TouchSmart 520 touch screen went bizerk! Had (and since the touch screen was going crazy, this was fun) to disable the NextWindow driver(s).

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP.

They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number.
Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact.

Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forum.

Upgraded to windows 8.1 and lost touchscreen. I have followed all of the steps on every forum. The HP Driver available for windows 8.1 for this model computer displays an error message saying my system doesnt have the necesary system requirements to install. I have tried manually selecting drivers from windows update, i have reinstalled windows 7 and tried to install all of the windows 7 versions of the drivers and that didn't work either. I tried reinstalling windows 10 and using the drivers for that but they do not work either. I am pretty surprised reading most of the HP forum responses by HP agents who repeatedly suggest hard resets and disabling the device and updating which works for none of the cases on the forums. Then eventually they stop responding. Is there a valid driver for this in exhistence and if so where can I get it.

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the "Solution Accepted" on this Post and it will also help other community members with similar issue.

yeah that didn't work. that would be one of the cookie cutter responses i was talking about. It looks like HP never made a driver compatible with windows 10 for this display and after checking numerous forums I have concluded that HP has given up on making this model work.

For the past couple weeks, I've been trying my hardest to get the HP ProBook 440 G2's touch screen to work. I have about 30 of this same model of laptop having the same issue. The touchscreen doesn't work while in Windows. I ahve discovered, however, that if you uninstall and reinstall either the monitor, HID-compliant touch device, or the graphics driver, that the touch screen works again for about 5 minutes.

Everything at this post: -en/document/c03488148 under the "touch screen does not respond or responds intermittenly" as that is the only section that pertains to me. The only thing that I could not do is open properties, and turn off "power saving" as the driver for the touch screen installed does not have that tab as an option. I tried looking everywhere on HP's website for some kind of touch screen driver, but could not find one.

I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the graphics driver, and uninstalling it and using the HP support center application to download drivers directly through the HP Support tool, with no luck still. I've updated the BIOS/UEFI, and I've tried using the touch screen and verifying all functionality before proceeding with any of the steps in this process chain (such as before reinstalling video drivers, before and after updating BIOS, etc.)

I checked event viewer under the Application Tab, the System Tab, and also checked Event Viewer specifically for the "Monitor" device, the "HID-compliant touch screen" device, and the "Intel HD Graphics" device to see if any events showed up saying the touch screen has been disabled in any way.

I've been at this for almost a month now, to no avail. Something else I've noticed is that these 30 laptops are all a slightly different SKU it seems (I can tell because they have a darker brushed aluminum and different keyboard key-clips, which gets annoying when keys fall off as we don't have replacements for this specific keyboard). I have about 4,000 other ProBook 440 G2 laptops, none of which have this problem. Just this particular SKU. I know they are a touch screen SKU still, because I've used the touch screen on them and it works for a few minutes at a time when the display gets reconnected through device manager. Unless HP made this model a non-touchscreen but kept the touch screen in and disabled in firmware somehow? I find that unlikely as the touch screen works fine in the UEFI menus.

Up until June 2022, Touch-Base provided Windows, Linux, CE and macOS UPDD touchscreen drivers for TSHARC controllers for new deployment on systems. Installers downloaded will remain installable until September 2022.

Please contact Touch-Base to request an UPDD driver installer for ongoing system maintenance (useable for systems deployed before June 2022) or to align purchasing UPDD drivers for systems deployed after June 2022.

I understand this issue is frustrating and I am here to lend a hand. Please PM me the serial number of your laptop so I can validate its model and kickstart a support ticket so I can escalate your concern to the systems team for advanced resolution. Thank you.

I have started to have the same issue lately. I have tried factory resetting twice. no use. tried uninstalling and factory resetting. no use. Tried disabling and enabling as well. No change. The issue is persistent. Please help.

I have the same issue on my Razer Blade 15 mid-2021, 4k OLED - touchscreen stopped working and there is no driver for touchscreen in Device Manager (I think it started after Windows 11 upgrade). Is there anywhere the driver can be downloaded from?

In addition to the drivers below, there are alternative drivers and driver-less options that can be used with Hope Industrial touch screens and Linux variants. Contact technical support for more information.

The installation process allows you to select which drivers, USB, serial or both, that you want to install. Installing more drivers than you need is not a problem.

The driver package includes utilities which allow users to customize the operation of their touch-screen in various ways. That information will be covered later in this user manual.

The current supported languages are English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. This also applies for all other installation configurations.

If you checked the auto-detect box in the previous screen, and your touch monitor serial cable is attached to the computer, the COM port that you selected should be checked in the list. If this is the case, click Next and proceed to the next screen.

The COM port you selected will be shown on this screen to verify the settings and give you the opportunity to make any changes to your COM port selection before the driver is installed. Click the Back button to modify any of the previously made selections. Click Next to initiate the installation of the driver files.

The Setup Complete screen will appear after installation completes. Check the Calibrate Elo Touchscreen monitors. check box if not already selected and click Finish.

The General tab includes an Align function. Follow the instructions as indicated to calibrate all connected and supported touchscreen(s). Calibration must be done in instances shown on the General tab.

When the Setup Complete screen appears, you may choose to run calibration (the Elo Video Alignment program, EloVa) immediately or wait until later. If you choose not to run this program now, you can run it from the Elo Control Panel application. When EloVA runs for the first time, it will attempt to calibrate all controllers and/or serial ports that were installed. Press the Esc key on the keyboard to terminate or skip calibration for any monitor, or allow the program to time out (as indicated by the progress bar). The program will continue until all controllers and/or ports have been calibrated.
