I am hopeful the discord can help generate traffic for the forums. There are many folks I've spoken to who will never create EB accounts because forums seem outdated to them, but they are present on Discord. Hoping we can still drive (guest) traffic to EB!

This way, you don't use the invite link directly, as a server code is essentially just the last letters/numbers after the direct discord invite. But instead you're going via discord itself, meaning you don't need to a "direct invite link".

Discord is a free voice and text chat app designed specifically for gaming, Its suppose to be a modern voice and text communication tool to replace Teamspeak and Skype. PIrateCraft will continue to have a skype group and a teamspeak server.

Discord is all hosted by discord.com, its free for anyone to create a server. If you want a full feature list then you can visit their main website at which compares all vent, teamspeak and skype in once place.

You can link your minecraft account with your discord account by doing /discord link ingame. This will give you a 4 digit code which you will have to pirvate message to the discord bot (see image below). This will set your discord username as your ingame one and it will auto update it when you change it.

The discord bot was made using python (discord-py). The pirate command works by using a dictionary of common English words with their pirate translations. Words for Walk the plank was imported from the RandomWords library.
