I am trying to use the CIP Parenchyma analysis to evaluate canine lungs, but I'm having trouble with creating an appropriate label map. If I let the parenchyma analysis module to create the label map, it seems to miss some segments of lung, it also does not exclude intraparenchymal vessel and airways. I have not been able to figure out the interactive lobe segmentation primarily because the fissures of dog lungs are not easily discernable, and dogs have different lobation than people. (6 lobes). What sorta seems to work the best, if I use the segment editor to segment out the right and left lung and the vessel and airways, then create a label map of just the lung. The result is the parenchyma analysis gives me info for the whole lung and the right lung; it somehow doesn't recognize the left lung. I have even tried to segment the right cranial (superior) lung from the right accessory (inferior) lung, and left cranial from left caudal, yet the parenchyma analysis gives me whole lung, right lung and left lung, but left lung is actually the accessory. It still doesn't recognize the left lung. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem. I don't need analysis of each lobe, but it would be nice to have the right and left lobes separate.
Thanks
