2026 Season is Underway!

Hello Everyone, 

I want to start off with an apology for not figuring out how to correctly use the email subscription through gmail to get the word out about this season sooner. Chess in the Park's 2026 season is officially underway. We will continue to meet at the Main Street park in Monmouth every week. This year we will be meeting Thursdays from 11am-2pm. I hope this schedule change isn't too much of an inconvenience for folks, I hope to see you all there soon! 

Best of luck to anyone competing in the Dan Roger's memorial tournament in Albany tomorrow and Sunday! If you are not and would like to, here is the link to the registration page. With over 100 people registered across multiple sections and over 10 registered competitors with an over 1800 USCF rating in the open division this tournament promises to be the largest in recent history outside of the Portland metro area. Thank you to everyone helping to grow our chess communities. Hope to see you at Chess in the Park soon!
