Where do you know of that people hang out to play casual chess around
San Diego?

These are the places I know of at the moment:

The Mira Mesa Starbucks at 8250 Mira Mesa Boulevard, San Diego, CA
seems to always have a number of people playing chess outside at the
tables.

There's the Kadan Club in University Heights http://www.kadanclub.com/

Horton Plaza has giant chess sets to play with

Pannikan coffee and tea, http://pannikincoffeeandtea.com/ , in La
Jolla at 7467 Girard Ave in La Jolla has quite a bit of chess at it.

I've heard that The Churchill Cigar Lounge in Old Town at 2415 San
Diego Ave Ste 102 has players there regularly.

The Darband Fifth Avenue Grill downtown at 1556 5th Ave, http://5thavenuegrill.com/
, is rumoured to have some strong players.

Please add more place that you know!
