Cheshire County Democrats Summit, Saturday, April 14, 3 - 5 PM,
Mountain View Room, Keene State College, Young Student Center
Please plan to join us for a planning and strategy session designed to enhance the grassroots efforts in our communities.
Anne Kuster, candidate for Congress, will be the kick-off speaker. Then Lucy Weber, State Representative from Walpole, will talk to us about redistricting. Following Lucy's presentation, we will break up into smaller groups by community and district so that the town leaders can get acquainted and begin to plan for the 2012 election.
By working together and planning ahead, we can take back our state government, elect Annie Kuster to Congress, and reelect President Obama. Please plan to join us for this important Summit meeting.
Immediately following the Summit, the New Hampshire Democratic Party Platform Committee will hold a session soliciting input to the 2012 New Hampshire Democratic Party Platform. If you are interested, please plan to stay after the Summit to attend the Platform Meeting.

Open Forum hosted by the Jaffrey Democrats
New Hampshire State Senate candidate for District 9, Lee Nyquist, will speak to voters and answer questions at the Jaffrey Woman’s Club historic Cutler Memorial Building, 33 Main Street, Jaffrey on April 4, 2012 at 7 pm. The Jaffrey Democrats are pleased to host this open forum to meet and greet Mr. Nyquist and learn of his vision for restoring civility to Concord and focusing on improving the economy for all New Hampshire citizens.
A longtime resident of New Boston, Lee has been re-elected as Town Moderator, consecutively, for 20 years. Lee married his wife of 28 years, Leslie Nixon, in the Bedford Presbyterian Church and they reside in New Boston with their four children, Christina, Carla, Lincoln and Linnnea. He has been practicing law in New Hampshire for 33 years, along with sitting on or chairing numerous advisory boards and organizations throughout the state. The family attends church at the Community Church of New Boston, where Lee is a church elder.
Mr. Nyquist is running for State Senate in the newly configured District 9, which includes Bedford, with the intention of restoring long existing New Hampshire traditions. Lee proclaims that he will be a citizen legislator and “does not intend to pursue any strict ideological agendas, but wants to emphasize good listening to the citizens, and work with mutual respect for fellow legislators.” He “believes in a New Hampshire legislature that fosters pathways to bipartisan solutions, not to a partisan advantage.”
All citizens from District 9 are invited and encouraged to attend and get to know Lee Nyquist in the comfortable setting of the Cutler Memorial Building in the center of downtown Jaffrey. For more information, contact Dick Ames, Chair of the Jaffrey Democrats, at jaffreyd...@gmail.com.
