Rick Linehan - not actually in our class ... of yearbook "Fred Beaucoup" fame.

Hyannis, MA
Frederick V. “Rick” Linehan, 71, of East Sandwich, MA, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2022 surrounded by family.
Rick was born on November 30, 1950 to Frederick J. and Jean Nadine Linehan, in New Haven, CT. After Rick graduated from Cheshire High School in 1970, he went on to study English at Boston College.
Upon graduating with a BA in English, Rick began a 30 plus year teaching career in Massachusetts with the majority of it at Barnstable High School in Hyannis, MA as an English Teacher. There, he was also an assistant boy’s football coach and a long time Head Coach of the girl’s Track and Cross Country teams.
After retiring he enjoyed photography, keeping in touch with his former students and classmates from Cheshire High (particularly his castmates from the senior play Li’l Abner) and following his beloved Boston and Boston College sports teams.  Rick was an avid reader and cinema fan who took pleasure in recommending books and movies to his niece Meghan.  Rick was known for his outgoing personality and quick wit. The stories of his life could fill volumes and he profoundly touched the lives of so many of his students and friends.
Rick was predeceased by his parents Frederick and Nadine Linehan. He is survived by his brother Paul F. Linehan and his wife Karen, along with his adored nieces Keelin and Meghan and nephew Jack, and several cousins.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to: The Flynn Fund, Boston College Athletic Development, 320 Conte Forum, 140 Commonwealth Ave, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467, an organization that provides athletic scholarships to Boston College athletes, a cause Rick felt strongly about.
