I have some good information here...
http://www.phillyseaplanebase.com/base-info/
There will be a lot of room on the lawn (10 planes) and room for one or two at the floating doc.
SeaReys handle the gravel ramp well with their tailwheel configuration. We've had Lakes, too. I've been talking with Bruce about the Icon. I think it will handle it, but the small nosewheel might be more finicky with the gravel. We plan to smooth it out as best we can, and ops at high tide should be no issue. The lower parts of the ramp are rougher (larger rocks and bricks) so, by mid tide 1pm, folks should think about leaving or staying around for the next high tide 11pm or Sunday noon.
On that note, I wonder if anyone would want to stay over, since it's so far. We've never done it, but I see no reason to disallow it. Just need to tie them down and secure the area. There is an adjacent holiday inn. There are other events and fireworks planned that evening in the adjacent park. Just a thought.

What are your facilities capable of handling. There are several of our group who are interested. Do you have ramp facilities for the Seabees, Icon and SeaRey; and dock facilities for float equipped aircraft. What are normal arrival procedures do you have any pic for those that haven’t been there before.
Thanks

Lord willing, I’m In!
While it is only a hop, skip and a jump away for me; I would happily fly south to join the incomming flotilla, even if it meant a randevu in the air to fly in together!
Keep me posted.
Thank you,

If weather is good we have the possibility of groups of seaplanes (intentionally &or non-intentionally) arriving at the same time in small piece of air space. My thoughts are we do just like Rob Richardson did in his video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6grQSY2J7VU&t=2s) . Go up the Delaware river keeping to the right on the way up, drop down below 300” after Commodore Barry bridge , “ wind blowing up the river I’ll make LT base over island” head wind/wind blowing down river fly straight in to left of island & and if I have to go around I will do RT downwind over island, & I will be on 122.9.
One other thought, keep an eye up and be mindfully of the possibility of wake turbulence from PHL
FYI , I am somewhat local to the area (Massey MD1) so if you need local help and can’t get a hold of Rob Dant , feel free to call me

Everything looking good for ramp ops tomorrow. We even removed the extinguisher box, giving us more ramp wingspan (56 foot for wingtips over 4 ft high). We'll have wing walkers as necessary. Happy flying.
