We are chartering out of Tortola for a week and have Jost Van Dyke on the list this time. We would appreciate any experiences you care to share. We are mostly looking for quiet beaches and easy landings due to old knees syndrome J Provisioned for breakfasts, lunches and a few dinners but would appreciate finding a spot to enjoy the local cuisine that won’t break the bank.
We have been to Norman, Soper’s Hole, Bitter End Yacht club and Trellis Bay already but any other “must see” sites would be appreciated.

You should go to Cane Garden Bay and out to Anegada for lobster. And of course the Indians” for snorkeling.

• Some still shots from our last trip, including some of Diamond Cay, are online here: https://picasaweb.google.com/blakesbb/VirginIslandsOct08#• A video I pulled together from that trip has a sequence of the Bubbly Pool: http://www.youtube.com/user/Bearboat26?feature=mhum#p/a/u/2/z_DFBGEc0ic• Regarding Norman Island, I’d recommend trying to explore something more than just the bars, specifically the island trails that begin behind Pirates Bight. The owner of Norman Island is the same guy who owns luxury Guana Island on the north side of Tortola, he has a mansion there (well behind Pirates Bight), and is starting to develop the place into another high-rent resort destination like Guana, so it’s worthwhile to see the rest of Norman before it gets ruined by money. Some background about Norman Island that you might find interesting is online here: http://www.travelbeat.net/sailing/archives/2009/01/norman-island-bvi-hotspot.html
