Different session id between request and response headers?

Hi all,
I am running CherryPy 3.2 on Fedora 10, Python 2.52, proxying theough
Apache.
I have done this before, but I'm seeing something I've never seen
before.
I have a different session id for each page request.
I checked the request and response headers, and I see a different
session id in the both headers, for each page hit. I also checked my
proxy and proxypassreverse settings, and all looks good.
This is bizarre. What causes this?

This seems to work in FireFox if I set some session data. But it does
not work in IE and Safari.
I'll swap out my server for a shorter example and attach it here.
