Flanagin fence

I live at 2606 Worthington Dr, Champaign, IL 61822. 

I am having a fence put in by Pratt Home Improvement. It is a 6' dog eared fence. I am also having a new deck installed at the same time. They are planning to start the first or second week of June.

I have talked to both of my neighbors about the fence. I don't know what else you need from me.

Hi Susan, 

Thank you for your email. Your project will need to be reviewed and approved by our Architectural Committee. It's a very simple process. Please provide a drawing (picture of paper and pencil drawing is fine), or if you are using a contractor they typically provide you with one of your property. Be sure to include all measurements of your property and the fence and show the placement of the fence. Please also include all details, including materials of the fence (i.e. cedar fence). Once received, we'll review and approve quickly or let you know if we have any further questions.

This is a cedar fence or what material? Can you add where the fence falls on your property lines? Are you connecting to any neighbors fences? I believe both of your neighbors have fences correct?

The fence will be cedar. Yes, both neighbors have fences but we are not touching the neighbors' fences.

Hi Susan,

Thank you for letting me know the fence will be cedar. The map you provided does not really show the exact location you wish to place the fence on your property. I've included a picture of the property that perhaps you can draw the fence on to show where it will be related to your property lines and the neighbors fences. That is really what is needed to review and give approval.

I think this is close. It’s also chalked out if you want to head to the backyard.  They are starting soon. Please.

Thanks for the additional drawing. I see other fences where there is a space between homes. I think as long as there is enough space so someone can mow/maintain the yard in those spaces, this is fine. I'm sure you and the neighbors discussed this issue.Your fence project is approved.
