Fencing Inquiry

Hello -

I hope this email finds you well. Earlier this week, our offer was accepted on 2802 Woodlawn Dr and we're excited to move into the neighborhood. Pending all goes smoothly, we will be closing on this home by/before August 30th. We will be moving into the home with our dog Nova, and will need to fence in the backyard. We saw other homes across the lake (I believe 2407 Cherry Hills Drive for reference) with black iron fencing, along the lines of this fence, and we would be interested in installing a similar fence in our backyard. 

Can you share the rules and regulations for fencing along the lake and what steps we need to take before installing this? Is there a minimum distance that needs to be maintained from the lake? Is a certain type of material required to be used? 

I do not have exact plans to share for this yet as we have not officially closed on this home, however I am hoping to use this time to prepare a plan for this project to have this fence built this fall before the weather turns for winter.
