2607 Applewood Rd.
Champaign, IL 61822

Greetings,

We are writing to inform you that we intend to build a fence along the back and side of our property.

The portion of the fence that belongs to 2702 Coppertree which abuts up against our property is much older and will be removed (shown in red on the diagram). The portion of the fence remaining between 2702  Coppertree and 2609 Applewood will be reinforced with a post and extra planks (shown in blue on the diagram). The older remaining fence at 2702 Coppertree will not be attached to the new fence at 2607 Applewood, but the posts will be close enough without touching to maintain privacy, pets, etc.

We will also be removing our existing fence between our property and 2609 Applewood Rd. A privacy fence will be constructed between our property and 2609 Applewood as well as 2702 Coppertree. Our new fence will consist of the green line areas shown in the attached Google Maps diagram. There will also be a small portion between the north boundary of our property and our garage with a gate facing the front of the property (shown in green on the diagram).

Brooks Creek Cedar out of Mattoon will be doing this work. The fence will be 8' cedar privacy style fence similar to that shown in the picture in the supporting documents Google Drive folder.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to contact me at 217-419-6725 or Caleb from Brooks Creek Cedar at 217-273-9680.

We have spoken with the residents of 2702 Applewood and they are in agreement with this plan. We are covering the costs of tear down and haul away of their old fence as well as reinforcement of the remaining corner of said fence that abuts against the 2609 Applewood property.

A licensed surveyor from Precision Engineering Group, Inc will be coming out to survey the property boundaries and mark the corners in the next week or two to ensure nothing encroaches on neighboring properties.

If we have not heard an official response to the above proposal within 30 days, by Saturday, October 11, 2025, we will assume conclusive approval to this proposal pursuant to the terms outlined in the Cherry Hills HOA Phase 1 & 2 Covenants and Restrictions (linklink) and move forward as planned regarding the same. The work is expected to be completed in December, weather permitting.

Due to email size constraints, the rest of the supporting documents can be found in this shared Google Drive folder.

Regards,
Aaron & Jennifer Steinke
