Im starting to hate Aggro Demon Hunter because their deck is so crazy good and wasn't even touched by the update, despite being top among the most obnoxious decks in the meta. The decks is consistent without good rng, and when their rng is good they get stuff like doing 6 damage to everything for 2 turns. It doesn't seem to have any apparent weakness.
What would be the best deck against it? As a hunter it's really difficult to build a board against it, but can work if he doesn't get AoE(which he always gets somehow). I've also tried Control Warrior but they just put up taunts with lifesteal to stop you from finishing, and getting to lethal seems like very situational. Face shaman?
Yeah, I'm not a big fan of calling for nerfs in a new meta too early, but the deck seems too strong and has no real counters. Grasp and/or Shopper should be nerfed. People have been too focused on hating its most reliable counter, Handbuff Paladin (understandable, but the deck was less OP and kept in check by Hunters), so now there is no one to stop DH anymore.
Petition to give Demon Hunters Metamorphosis Customization options aswell.
Since Druids have had a massive GLOW to their Customizations including Warlock Pets when are we gonna see some love for Demon Hunters getting some Customization options for their Metamorphosis appearances?
In the beginning, we were supposed to have our forms partially match with the demonic features of our elven forms. From that we only have runic tattoos and hair color (which is bugged with new hair colors). Horn shape never got implemented, and neither were hairstyles.
With the customizations, I think Demon Hunters should also get to use their wings properly. Perhaps a new out of combat ability to allow Demon Flight, working same as Dracthyr Soar - change to demon form to fly, which dissipates upon landing.
Also, to make sure we can actually sport our new customizations and make Blizzard artists and animators proud of their work, maybe we could get some new cosmetic ability added allowing to temporarily access your Metamorphosis form (like a toy, 10 min duration with 1h CD, without combat benefits and removed upon entering combat). You know, for RP purposes.
Demon hunter is my choice. Stupid easy and fun to play both tank and dps. Plus its soo fun to double jump and glide vs rolling around on a monk. As I only tank on a monk and i can say DH by far is smoother to play. Monk still feels clunky to me.
Demon hunters made a pact, long ago, to fight against the forces of chaos using their own terrible powers against it. They ritually blind themselves in exchange for Spectral Sight that enables them to better sense their prey. This enhanced awareness, together with their great agility and magical prowess, makes demon hunters unpredictable adversaries. They wield demonically charged warblades in battle and call upon demonic energies to augment their formidable combat skills.
The hero power can reliably allow the Demon Hunter to fill their Mana curve, and can be used alongside their many synergistic cards such as Blade Dance and Satyr Overseer. While most classes spend 2 mana on their hero power, the Demon Hunter only spends 1.
Demon Hunter introduces a new class-specific keyword, Outcast. Outcast cards have impactful bonuses when played from the left or right-most position in your hand. With a bit of careful thought and turn-planning, Outcast cards can shift the tides of a match.[2]
Raising Demon Hunter up to level 10 awards 17 Core Demon Hunter cards (32 copies), while winning up to 500 games in Ranked, Arena and Duels awards golden copies of existing cards. All Core cards are uncraftable and cannot be crafted or disenchanted.
Demon Hunter's expansion cards can be obtained mostly by obtaining corresponding card packs or Demon Hunter class packs. The player can buy them in Shop with gold or real money, or get them through various sources. Some cards may be available through various promotions, like logging in to get them.
Demon Hunter Initiate is a special card set only for Demon Hunter, allowing them to catch up to the other classes in Standard format at the time of their release. The player can obtain Demon Hunter Initiate cards by completing Demon Hunter Prologue.
Because of Demon Hunter's fantastic card draw, high chip and burst damage, and the speed at which they burn out, most Demon Hunters are geared towards aggressive or midrange builds. Demon Hunters arm themselves with weapons and aggressively-statted minions to take control of the board or apply massive face damage.
In addition to being aggressive attackers, Demon Hunters can control the battlefield with their fel magic, benefiting from the souls of their sacrificed Illidari allies, and finding devious ways to deploy massive demons to the battlefield far earlier than expected.
The Demon Hunter also introduces a new class-specific keyword, Outcast. Outcast cards have impactful bonuses when played from the left or right-most position in your hand. With a bit of careful thought and turn-planning, Outcast cards can shift the tides of a match.
MARIAN: It must have been probably the second or third time I took the car out. When I first sort of got more comfortable in the car, connected my phone via Bluetooth, I think first I saw like a generic music note or something [ALEX: Mm-hmm.] in the space where album art should be. And then I saw my car demon.
MARIAN: Um, so I want, I want to preface, as a Catholic person, [ALEX: Mm-hmm.] I do believe, I do believe in the devil. I believe in who St. Ignatius would call the enemy. I believe in evil spirits. However, more prominently, I believe that if you're in right relationship with God, then the evil spirit has no power over you.
ALEX: Then I tried this Russian search engine, which, um, a security researcher told me in the past is better at reverse image search. It's called Yandex. I tried that and nothing matched, and I mostly got horror movie posters.
KIM: So, I grew up in kind of the, the beginning of the Napster, like, mall goth, nu metal era. And of course, as like, kind of a weird, angry kid, I threw myself headfirst into the Slipknots and Papa Roaches of the world.
ALEX: And these guys happened to be pretty anti-Christian because they felt like there was this big colonization aspect of Christian missionaries coming into Scandinavia in the past and diluting, like, the actual religions of the area.
ALEX: And Tim reached out to, like, a bunch of record labels and stores, [EMMANUEL: Mm-hmm.] including this label called Metal Blade Records, which [EMMANUEL: Okay.] has been around forever. Um, they put out, like Metallica's first release, and the person at Metal Blade was like, I think that this is an artist named Lizzie Borden."
TIM HOWARD: Uh, over the weekend, I got an email from this guy named Charlie, who runs a record store in London called Crypt of the Wizard. And he had taken the picture and posted it on a forum, like an underground metal forum. And they, within an hour, um, tracked it down.
ALEX: So I talked to Russell for a while and we figured out what was causing the demon in Marian's car, and not long after that Gracenote got back in touch with me and completely confirmed my findings.
ALEX: It's like a butterfly flapped its wings and a demon appeared on Marian's car. [laughing] It's like this weird chain of cause and effect that created this insane thing that happened on this poor religious teacher's car stereo.
Demon hunters were announced at Gamescom 2015 as the new hero class for the World of Warcraft: Legion expansion. Playable demon hunters belong to the Illidari faction. Demon hunters start at level 8 (98 before Shadowlands), experiencing a unique starting experience comparable to that for death knights, before then moving into Legion content.[3][4]
