For windows, if you want a full backup of your mozilla firefox or thunderbird environment, or more than just xpi files, take a look at mozbackup. Its a third party bit of software that does more complete backups. Its what I use now.

I need the install file for the developer edition, rather then an install stub. One of my developers would like to use this edition of firefox, but because of our download restrictions against users we are unable to install it through the stub, can you help?

Where can I download an offline installer for Firefox 88 or the current stable version? I have an air-gapped surveillance system and need Firefox installed so that I can configure the surveillance cameras that do not support IE or Edge.

Hello. I want to obtain a complete install package (exe, etc) of Firefox 18 or 19 as my preferred browser on non-internet facing nodes. I have read that installers are calling out for updates upon completion and the nodes in questions cannot connect to the internet. I am looking for a complete/full install of FF 18 or 19 as mentioned above. I am not a local admin on the Internet facing pc that is being used to pull down the binaries. Thanks for any feedback.

I found out about LanguageTool and I would really like to try it as an offline add-on to Firefox. I downloaded the LanguageTool 3.2 Zip folder and I currently have it on my desktop. I extracted the inner folder, LanguageTool-3.2, and found the languagetool.jar file. I was able to try it out and it works for me.

Since you posted in the Malwarebytes Browser Guard section of the forums for Firefox I assume you're using Firefox @1PW and that you're saying MBG blocked the full offline installer download? I was not able to replicate this block.

So I downloaded the .tar file for firefox, tried to untar it and run the file. The browser then popped up and said it needs snap support to install. I am looking for an airgap install of Firefox on Ubuntu, without install snap. If I absolutely have to install snap I will, but I am air-gapped which means another sideload. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Until recently, one could conveniently download Mozilla's developer's documentation, developer.mozilla.org.tar.gz, for offline reading. However, Mozilla seems to have upgraded the documentation to a new, SQL-based format, abandoning the old TAR.GZ.

The stub installer has advantages and disadvantages over full or offline Firefox installers. Unlike the offline installer, which always installs the version of Firefox that you downloaded, stub installers query Mozilla during installation so that the latest version of Firefox is downloaded and installed. In other words, users will get the latest version of Firefox when they run the installer and they may re-use it.

You can use full Firefox downloads to install Firefox on systems without Internet connection, or for distribution purposes if you want to install it on multiple systems. With the web installer, you would have to download the browser multiple times (for each system once) which may waste a lot of bandwidth and time.

You have two official options to download offline versions of the Firefox web browser to your system. You can download offline versions of Firefox from the Mozilla website or from the archive server. Both let you download a full copy of Firefox for all supported operating systems, architectures, and languages.

Note: Mozilla changed the design of download pages recently. While you can still use the links provided below to download offline installers for all supported operating systems, you now have to make up to three selections before you can do so.

All download pages use the same layout. Select the browser edition that you want to download, e.g. Beta or ESR, then the installer (Windows 32-bit and 64-bit, Linux 32-bit and 64-bit, Mac OS X, or Windows MSI 32-bit or 64-bit), and then the language. Hit the download now button to start the download of the full Firefox installer to the local system.

Mozilla pushes the stub installer on its website and it may be the better solution for most users interested in downloading the web browser and for Mozilla. Users who prefer to download the full version of Firefox instead can do so as well and as long as the option is provided, there is nothing wrong with offering a stub downloaded by default.

Below are the links for offline installers of all versions (from historical to latest) & all builds for various platforms on the Mozilla.org website, as well as its CDN servers. The pages sport an identical directory structure as those hosted on the FTP server.

In the short them, I suggest we update all versions of the First Run page. As a longer term solution, we may want to implement a lightweight installer that always downloads the most recent Firefox version.

I wonder if some of these old version first-runs could be put down to existing installations where a new user logs onto the machine and runs firefox for the first time. It certainly seems to be hard to maintain large deployments of Firefox on the latest version without getting the users to update it themselves. In a decent sized organisation with a little bit of hot desking or even just computers being handed down as senior people get their PCs upgraded you would get some first runs from installations that really occurred some time ago.

As the newer versions have come out I am having more problems with firefox shutting down and not responding. When I first started using mozilla somwhere in the 2 version I had no problems. I am currently working my way backward again to get to a version that works. Until I find it and turn off updates I guess I am stuck with IE.

Acrobat Reader installation is a two-part process: The installer is downloaded, and then Acrobat Reader is installed. Be sure to wait until both parts are complete. A progress bar displays the time remaining.

Mozilla has created a translation plugin for Firefox that works offline. Firefox Translations will need to download some files the first time you convert text in a specific language. However, it will be able to use your system's resources to handle the translation, rather than sending the information to a data center for cloud processing.

On the surface, it's a little odd that a browser, which is by definition used to access the web, would need an offline translation option. But translating text on your device and avoiding the need to transfer it to and from a data center could be a boon for privacy and security.

Mozilla Firefox is a free, fast and efficient cross-platform web browser and one of the most popular browsers in use. Firefox boasts speed and tabbed browsingIt features a built-in pop-up/ad blocker removing the annoyances when browsing. Firefox also offers customization features and plug-ins which allows users to completely change the look and feel of their web-browser.

Mozilla Firefox began as an experiment, led by three developers working for the Mozilla organization who believed the original Mozilla suite, a cross-platform internet suite which included a web browser, mail and an IRC client, would become too bloated in future due to the Mozilla web-browserOther Internet Software

Application deployment with Configuration Manager is easy and interesting. Configuration Manager supports several deployment types for applications. Normally, the application is either an executable file (.exe) or an MSI installer (.msi). Both these deployment types are supported by ConfigMgr.

In this article, I will show you how to download Firefox MSI installer and deploy it with Configuration Manager. This guide should help anyone who wants to deploy Firefox in their organization. I will be covering both 32-bit and 64-bit Firefox deployment using SCCM.

There are two ways to deploy Firefox using SCCM; use the enterprise MSI installer provided by Mozilla or download the Firefox offline installer, which is an executable file. Between the two, I favor the Firefox MSI installer because it makes Configuration Manager deployment easier overall.
