Hi All,

I passed the PMP exam on Dec 24th. My sincere thanks to all PMP&Beyond (PMP&Beyond May2010 batch) course mentors for helping me successfully complete the most important exam in my life. I should thank personally Mr.Palaniappan for helping me with the QHub credentials on my request Immediately.

Below are some of the points which I think would be helpful to you in preparing for exam.

Preparation :

I read PMBOK 3 times and went through Road to success 2 times. I took questions at the end of Road to Success once. Kept a log of where I am doing badly and re-read chapters.

I took mock tests in mqhub.com in all the different options provided in it
1. Process wise
2. Knowledge Area Wise
3. Finally an Test Simulation(2 weeks before exams)

After taking these test I feel the questions are repeated. The better option is skip the point 1 i did and try the knowledge areas once and then go for the Test simulation.

It would be helpful if PMP&Beyond provides list of some sites which will provide free mock test to participants so that they can try different questions.

Gone through the link http://sites.google.com/site/pmpbank/ really useful tips most of them covered by Karthik in the final session of PMP&Beyond

Before The exam :

I stopped studying the book 3 days before exam. The day before I had the exam I went through the page 43 of PMBOK and the glossary in the PMBOK.

The D-Day :

I reached the centre 45 Mins before roamed in the Jaganathan street and thinked nothing regarding the test. Went in taking the nice greetings of the security (it is a trap).

I took one Bio break during exam at 130th question. Completed the exam and i had 1 Hour 20 Mins left. Went through questions marked for Review. After that checked for any unanswered questions and again started to check from the starting, when I was checking 38th question the time got completed.

The blank screen came the heart beat was little high, I got a screen with some letters (pooh) it asked for feedback!!! i skipped it and again the blank screen after that the result saying PASS.

The TRAP: When I return after asking my result the security asked for tips $$ :) !

I hope my experience may be helpful to all. Wish you all a Happy and Prosperous New year 2011.

Hearty congrats, Rajagovarthanan!

It is indeed very satisfying news to hear on the last day of this year.

Thanks a ton for sending us this good news with detailed Lessons Learned.

It is Success Stories like these that help us volunteers at the Board continue working passionately for advancing the profession.

Hopefully, you will recommend your friends and colleagues to our future PMP & Beyond sessions.

Now, "Project Earn PDUs" starts.

Of course, forget about it now, but do start thinking about it in the new year.

Wishing you a very successful and happy New Year 2011,

Karthik.

Hi Akash,

Road to success is a book authored by "A.Chandrasekaran".
