We should share a calendar of tweets and content that the id can broadcast on a regular basis. Once the ids are launched we should go out and recruit followers and fans.
Hashtags: start monitoring running and marathon themed hashtags and start tweeting them to build awareness around the event.
Facebook: I recommend that we register a brand page thewiprochennaimarathon
There are two pages that show up on searching for Chennai marathon, which have not identifiable owners.

But there is a few tweets on twitter search that show up when you look for Chennai Marathon, which possibly is by the awareness raised during the Hyderabad marathon, or by word of mouth. |
Currently Chennai runners are not active on twitter. Inactive since 10 Oct 2011. Has 473 followers. Has not followed any other runners/ marathon.
