 Hello Sir,

 I am Brijesh representing Veloscope (www.veloscope.in)  a Sports Photography and Media collective based out of Bangalore. We got to know about Wipro Chennai Marathon and thought about exploring the possibilities of forging a Photography partnership for the event. We had been capturing sporting action Since 2009 and have covered a host of sports events from Cycling to Horse Polo.

Here is brief description about us and what we do

We are a bunch of biking and sports enthusiasts who are keen on photography; Started in 2009 purely as pastime activity to capture our fellow riders on their bikes fighting it out every month on their saddle for the crown of Bangalore bicycle championship, it grew in to capturing all the biking action in and around the city. In the past 3 years we have consistently captured the sporting action in all the cycling events from Banagalore bicycle championship (every month) to long endurance rides and races like Brevet and Bangalore Chamundi Bangalore and Bangalore -Ooty -Bangalore ultra endurance races.

In no time this one man activity gained a lot of momentum and after every event the biking fraternity out here started eagerly waiting for Veloscope captures. This acceptance and popularity prompted us to bring in more photographers who understand sports hence we constituted a community of photographer sportsmen. This enabled us with the following things.

Being sportsmen they know what's happening and they can empathize with an athlete better;( better acceptance among the participants )

They can weave better stories through the captures from a photo journalist/ photo documentary perspective, thanks to their domain expertise in both the domains

Having a battery of photographers will help us cover different aspects of events

Coordinating with photographers and getting them all to a single page to cover and event is not that easy, from an event management perspective though it is important but it is not your primary concern, probably this is the place we will be of a value addition to your event management effort.

Today we have an arsenal of photographers who are bikers, swimmers, runners, triathletes , bodybuilders, Yoga experts. To aptly align the taste of our photographers we have ventured in to other sports as well. We kicked off this with covering "Bangalore Ultra"marathon which happened in November 2011, with 1200 participants it was that largest event we ever handled; we did it with a crew strength of 15 members and clicked close to 60 GB of pics (around 6000 pictures) Till date Veloscope has covered 40 bike races, 10 ultra biking races, 8community events related to sports and Partnering with RFL for Ultra being one of the biggest. We have also covered a few skating, rock climbing and horse polos in Bangalore and is actively looking at partnering with Sports events.

We recently ventured in to film making and did a short video on one of the BBCH races and slo did an interview on Ayurveda related research which is going to get aired on PBS in US.

It will be great if you can consider Veloscope for covering the Photgraphy and video aspects of the race.
