Hadoop Cassandra Integration

Hi all,

 

I am new to Cassandra and am trying to read data from cassandra using MR code. So to get started, I searched for codes and found WordCount(Cassandra) example. But I am getting lot of errors in that program and I am unable to understand. Can anyone pls share a basic simple program for Hadoop Cassandra Integration for my basic understanding ?

Hi Keerthana,

I am not sure which site you referred for the sample word count code example. But this link will help you to start with.

Here we will be using ColumnFamilyInputFormat and ColumnFamilyOutputFormat which will read and write values to cassandra using MR approach.

Filtering of rows and columns will be done using ConfigHelper class which will be part of the Map Reduce Job Configuration. [Driver Class]
