HDFS Snapshots

      Can anybody share HDFS snapshot . what is the usage ?  and how we take?

Hello,

A snapshot is a point-in-time image of part of the filesystem or the entire filesystem.

HDFS Snapshots helps in taking data backup and thus, It handles user/application data corruption and disaster recovery. Would also be used for test/experimental setup purposes.
