i got the post this afternoon. not much info though. the same as the
mail plus an acceptance form. how many of u have got this already??
after this do we get any letter that mentions the i20 amount or is
this all??

I got the acceptance form as well along with the 2 letters (grad
school + dept: CSE) in the email. I got this only on Apr 21st. So will
take time for my hard copy to reach I guess. I sent my acceptance back
by email.

Any idea how long does it take to receive I20? Grad coord said they
will start processing I20s by early May.

you will get the I20 in another 2 weeks by courier.No need to send any
further mails.

Yup... U'll first get your admit letter from the Dept. which you shud
confirm by sending an email or fax. Then you'll receive your
acceptance letter. Both these letters via snail mail. Lastly, they'll
send the i20 thro' USPS expess mail(courier).

i had not sent the bank docs along with app. There was no info in the
letters about i20 amount or the bank stmt format etc., will we be
getting that in a seperate letter?

They'll not give any seperate letter giving ur i20 details. I sent my
financial docs along with my appln. I received my decision via email
on march15 and got my i20 on april 16. so it took a month to get my
i20.

hi all
i got another postal mail from gatech. it too did not contain any info about i20 amount or format. can anyone tell what should the bank docs contain? n tht recent letter says my registration is put on hold and i need to provide few missing docs.. there it says documentation of degree and final diploma awarded as missing docs. n they re saying photocopies are not sufficient. what should i do any idea?

I had graduated when I applied. So I sent a photocopy of my degree
certificate attested by my institute. It was accepted. Generally
universities issue a "Likely to Graduate" certificate. This is
required for your Visa Interview as well. So try contacting your
university about this.

Question regarding the two snail mails.

My grad coord (Alan Glass) emailed me the Offer letter from Grad
Admissions, Dept. and also the acceptance letter to be sent. He had
mentioned that I will also receive the Offer letter from Dept. by
priority mail and the Offer letter from Grad Admissions by regular
mail. I received the Offer letter from Grad Admissions yesterday but
still not received the Offer letter from Dept. Was wondering if
priority mail is slower than regular mail !!! I also see that ppl
generally receive the dept letter first.

Any comments?

Even i got my dept mail only after the offer letter from the grad
admissions. I got my i20 approx 10-15 days after the second mail.

@arjun: regarding wat kind of bank docs to show for i20, refer edulix.
there are lot of discussions on that.
