First Meeting Notes..

Greetings!
We had a very good meeting on 8th Jul 2006. We had an excellent
session by Sanjiv. Thank you Sanjiv and Thank you all for participating
in our very first meeting.
I thought I will provide a brief note about our first meeting.
1. We started by 10.20 AM. I first introduced the Chennai Agile User
Group, its purpose and objectives. Then I introduced Sanjiv to
everyone. Sanjiv was very friendly all through the meeting. Even
before start, Sanjiv had an informal talk with everyone who came early.
2. It was a very participative session. The session by Sanjiv went
to about 2 hours.
3. About 32 people turned up. Most of them were from CTS. About 4
from Bangalore and about 8 from other companies like iInterchange
Systems, EDS, Infy, Aspire Systems etc ( I hope I didnt miss out a
company)
4. Sanjiv spoke about
a. Various Agile Methodologies
b. Agile Project Management
c. Agile Principles
d. He spoke elaborately on SCRUM
e. Comparison between Traditional and Agile Methods
f. An exercise of Airplane Production (three rounds, with
little process modification)
g. How to Transition to Agile Project Management.
It was a very participative session
5. A very good session. We should keep this going and we will learn
from each other.
Our next meeting is on Implementing XP which will be in third week of
August. I will keep you communicated about the venue.
