Society of Petroleum Engineers is an international professional association whose members are engaged in energy resources development and production. SPE is a key resource for technical knowledge related to the oil and gas exploration and production industry and provides services through publications, events, training courses and online resources at www.spe.org

 IIT Kharagpur Student Chapter of Society of Petroleum Engineering. was initiated with an objective of providing platform for the students who are involved in the area of petroleum and allied industries to garner knowledge and learn about the various development and the changes taking place in petroleum industry.

The student chapter serves as a confluence of ideas, expertise and knowledge from students of different disciplines. With this multi-disciplinary approach, SPE thrives to impart sound technological understanding to the students.
