As per the scheme of the Ministry of Industries and Mining, the Chemical Engineering Department of our institute is appointed as a Nodal Institute (Chemicals and Petrochemicals Sector) under the stewardship of the Anchor Institute DDU, Nadiad. Moreover, the department is also recognized by GPCB as a Schedule-I Environment Auditor since 2002. Till date we have organized more than 10 programs (STTPs, LTTP, Seminars and Workshops etc.) under Nodal Institute to train the students & faculties of various degree and diploma institutes and industry peoples.
I am pleased to inform you that the 01 day Workshop on “Hands on Training on Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger using SCADA”on 17thJanuary, 2015, is jointly organized by Nodal institute - Faculty of Engineering Technology and Research, Bardoli and Anchor Institute – Faculty of Technology-D.D.U, Nadiad at our institute.
We have planned to meet the objectives of the workshop by organizing meaningful lectures by expert having wide experience in Academic and Industry in area of Automation as well for sharing their efforts. Prof. M. N. Patel, Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering Department, FETR, Isroli, Bardoli, carries more than 20+years’ experience in academic in Instrumentation and 3 years’ experience in USA as an Automation Engineer, regarding Application of PLC, SCADA, Vision systems integration with Robots for pick and place Application.
This workshop is aimed to provide a newplatform for industry people, technologists, consultants and academicians to share their knowledge on operation of Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger using SCADA, Deriving various calculation related to Heat Transfer, study effect of P,I,D in PID controller, selection, advantages and limitations of various control loops.
Also the event will provide a good opportunity for the faculties to interact with today’s technology adopted by industries. Hence, I request you to depute some of your faculty members.
