We all know Moharir sir is admitted in hospital and most probably he won't be there for tomorrow's exam too. I think it'd be a nice idea to leave a Get well soon note (or just a "get well soon") for him on the very first page. And this is definitely not for scoring some extra brownie points for grades but a genuine attempt to thank him for what he has done for us.

Hope you all like this idea.

I know this is a good idea with no materialistic motives but there is no way we can assure that it is taken in the right spirit. Knowing sir's sceptical behaviour towards students in general and his strict disciplined demeanour, I strongly feel we should not goof around with the end sem.
Instead, I think we could probably give him a good get well soon card, probably through the TAs or CR after the chemical processes exam, which would be a much better gesture in my opinion.

I honestly don't think sir would take this in the wrong manner. But ya to stay on the absolute safe side, Dhawal your idea is better!

Following up. Who all are enthu to contribute? It would be great if one person from each hostel collects the money, exact individual share to be decided after we find out the number of contributors.
For present estimation, assuming 1000 rupees for a nice get well soon card, Rs 50*20ppl should be good. More the people, less the amount.
Please respond below ASAP if you are enthu to chip in.
Thanks.

I think everyone can collect 100 rupees from their hostel and hand it over to Nimish. Any sum above 500 will be more than enough for a card. I'll do it for H-13.

I think Kela's idea is good. I'll collect for H-2.

Kela idea seems better! Make it 150 per hostel to be on a safer side. I'll do it for H4.

Rs.150 per hostel is final then.
One person from each hostel will collect Rs.150 from their hostel batchmates. Please do it by tonight. Also, post here who is going to do it for each hostel other than Hostel 2,4,7 and 13.
Latest news is that sir has been discharged from hospital.
