Global energy provider looking for power plant project engineer for their upcoming plants in India.
· Nature of company:
o Global energy firm that provides heat and power mainly in Europe, is setting up similar combined heat and power plants in India. Each plant project value would be ~200MEuros
· Nature of job:
o To develop technical concept and support activity governance from project planning to commissioning & operations of Combined Heat and Power plant
o Entrepreneurial opportunity to see project from ideation to commissioning
o Induction and training program in company home country to visit similar plants and learn the company way
o Opportunity to work closely with Company India top management
o Tight co-operation with experts in Europe
o Excellent scope to take up more responsibility and grow quickly along with company’s operations in India
· Main responsibilities:
o Develop technical concept & plan activities during feasibility & pre-engineering phase incorporating the ‘Global company way’ into local business needs
o Support the project manager to follow-up on EPC activities from engineering to plant commissioning for time, cost and quality
o Provide technical support to sales discussions with customers & to teams within company working on fuel quality and availability, regulatory approvals, financials analysis, etc
o Assist in building a repeatable model to set-up plants in India
o Collaborate with relevant technical teams in Global Corporate and international experts
o Interact closely with external interest groups like technical consultants, EPC contractors, equipment vendors, etc
· Experience & education:
o Masters/Graduate degree with preferable specialization in power generation
o Min. 2-4 yrs experience in power plant project planning execution
o Basic knowledge of power plant technical equipment and process of power (& energy) generations
o Ability to work with uncertainty in a project
o Good interpersonal and communications skills to interact internally as well as network with external vendors/partners
