IITMAA candidature

As the Presiding Election Officer for the Decade-wise Committee Members Elections 2015, I am pleased to inform you that voting has commenced from 18.02 hrs [IST] on 26th October 2015 for the Elections to elect new Decade-wise Committee Members for the current term (2015 to 2017) of the Executive Committee of IITMAA and will conclude at 17.00 hrs [IST] on 7th November, 2015.
Only those Candidates who were duly proposed and seconded by alumni from their decade have been declared valid candidatures and have reached the voting stage. Alumni who were proposed or seconded by alumni from other decades have been declared invalid candidates after mandatory period for withdrawal.
Please find below the list of candidates for the positions for which elections are being held:
1st Decade 1964 - 1973 Batches:
- Hiranya Kumar Panigrahi (1970 – BTMT)

2nd Decade 1974 - 1983 Batches:

The election will be by electronic web based voting called e-Polling; on our website www.iitmaa.org
DETAILED VOTING PROCEDURE:
- Alumni must be registered in the database of the Alumni Association on its website at (http://www.iitmaa.org) to participate in the voting process.
- Election webpage can be accessed through a link on the homepage at www.iitmaa.org “Decade-wise Committee Members Elections”.
- Casting of votes through e-Polling by the global alumni community has commenced from 18.02 hrs [IST] on 26th October, 2015 and will go on until 17.00 hrs [IST] on 7th November, 2015.
- Each member can cast only one vote. Please note that only members belonging to the same decade for which the candidate is contesting can vote for the candidate. Votes from members belonging to other decades will be considered invalid.
- The results of election will be announced by the election officer on 18.00 hrs on 7th November, 2015. [IST] at an EGM to be convened at the Community Hall on IITM campus and subsequently on the website as well as the various yahoo groups and other social media forums.
