We know many are still hard at work on their taxes, but there is life
after April 15th. Spring is bursting across our township and we hope
you'll take a moment to plan for some important events coming soon.

Cheltenham Supports Watershed on Ethical Electronics Recycling with Gusto
The Tookany-Tacony-Frankford Watershed repeated their success with a
2nd recycling event on March 28th and 29th. They collected 18,500 lbs
from over 250 families and people were cheery about the opportunity to
ethically recycle their electronics.
According to Sarah Robb-Grieco of the TTF Watershed, the net proceeds,
about $2400, from this event will benefit the TTF Watershed
Partnership’s watershed education work in local schools. The TTF
Watershed Partnership will fund numerous projects with District
schools, including Cedarbrook.
This was truly a great event for our community. THANKS go out to
everyone who participated and made the event possible!

2nd Session of Restorative Practices -- See you Thursday!
Our first session of discussions on Restorative Practices (RP), with
Steve Korr of the International Institute for Restorative Practices,
was well attended, but we can still take more. The first session
covered an overview of RP and the 2nd session will delve further into
the specific practices of RP.
Even if you missed the first session, Steve will be providing a brief
overview of the RP approach and we urge you to come join with us as we
explore its possibilities for home and school.
RP is both a powerful strategy for raising the level of performance
and engagement of students as well as a simple technique that anyone
can learn, including parents, for addressing and building on
performance issues. If you've ever wondered what to do in a
"teachable moment", RP provides a clear set of strategies to help
anyone in any situation build an environment of responsibility,
respect, and individual achievement.
The next session will take place on Thursday, April 16th, at 7pm at
the District Administration Building on Ashbourne Rd in Elkins Park.
Our flyer is attached. Please RSVP if you can, especially if you
would like childcare.

Witness Murder at CHS in Just Over 2 weeks! Don't Miss Sweeney Todd!
Cheltenham Music Theatre is proud to present the epic Broadway
masterpiece, Sweeney Todd, as their 46th annual spring musical. The
performances will be on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, April
30, May 1 and 2 at 7:30 PM in Stretton Hall at Cheltenham High School.
Reserved seats for these performances are $15 each. A senior citizen
discount rate of $10 per seat is available for groups of ten or more.
Because the evening performances are sometimes too late for some
senior citizens, they are extending a cordial invitation to all senior
citizens to attend Tuesday evening, April 28, at 5 pm for a light
dinner and a 5:30 pm special dress rehearsal performance of Sweeney
Todd at the reduced rate of $5 per person. Advance reservations are
required. Please contact: Jackie DiFerdinando, Student Producer,
(jdi...@comcast.net) or Mrs. Robin Rosenberg
(rrose...@cheltenham.org or 215-881-6420) for details. RSVP by
April 22.
Either way – you must make plans for this exciting venture. Our
students have been working diligently for the past several months and
their efforts, as always, will produce a spectacular regional event
you won’t want to miss.
