Hi all,
Just a couple of things about Anne's garden share idea. I found a leaflet in my bag for Hugh Fearnley-W's river cottage landshare scheme which you can find out more about via Hugh's web-site or go straight to the main landshare web-site. It's national and I haven't tried to find out if there is anything set up in Cheltenham yet but there may well be. If not we can do a small flyer to promote it to Chelt people and get things going here that way - does that sound like a plan? Or we can get hold of some more of the flyers I've got to give away at our public outreach events... what do people think is the best way forward? Cathy.

Here are the notes from yesterday evening's meeting. Lovely food! Let me know if I've missed anything. Apologies if I've sent this to you several times but I'm not sure who's in what group and don't want to miss anyone. We do need to get one group sorted! I'll send a reminder out in good time before the next meeting but do communicate beforehand if you have any good ideas etc.

Subject: Re: [CPG] Meeting NotesHi Lorraine,I think I may be away that week, so I don't mind change of date.Foodwise, I think it would be good just to have some small snacks with a drink - but not really a meal as such every time. A slice of cake, cookie, cheese scone, something like that. Maybe we could take turns to bring something?About the garden sharing, and Hugh FW's Landshare acheme, I would be very pleased if Cathy can discover if anything is happening in Cheltenham. It must be me, but I can't get on very well with his website.I did have a good chat with the Gloucester land share/GL Communities people last year, but I'm willing to visit them also, especially if someone else would like to come with me. The crucial factor it seemed to me, was that they had a charity behind them, to support a Gardening Club, do insurance and CRBs etc, and I'm not sure how we would go ahead if we didn't have that backing.Anne.----- Original Message -----From: Lorraine Du FeuSent: Monday, August 22, 2011 8:37 AMSubject: Re: [CPG] Meeting NotesWednesday 14th September is fine with me. If you have an opinion about this can you let me know asap so that we can fix the date.
Thinking more about eating together, I somehow feel that this is important (it's lovely to see and taste what other people are growing/producing and to chat about this) and it also helps to make a natural break between the socialising and "action group" parts of the meeting. So my vote is to go with it, but keep it simple except at festival times. Let me know what you think.
Some of you will have got Cathy's message about garden share with its reference to HFW's website. I noticed that this had a recipe section and I thought that our Transition website should have one too. Let's talk about this at the next meeting - in the meantime I'll have a chat with Richard about what might be feasible.
