Subject: Skill share
To:
cheltenham-per...@googlegroups.comHello
fellow growers!
Hope everything is sprouting well for you despite the
distinct lack of
soft refreshing showers.
You may have got my email to
the main group a week or so ago asking
for volunteers to share skills via a
list on the website. I though
that most of my responses would come from
growers, but it proved
otherwise, and I have only two. So I'm asking again to
see if anyone
out there is willing to go on a list on the Transition Town
website,
with an e-mail contact address, to offer help to people starting
up
with vegetable growing.
All help would be offered at the discretion
of the giver, and could be
restricted to advice by e-mail or could develop
into visits to
allotments or gardens if you so wished. It would be totally up
to you.
There are so many people out there who would love to have a go,
but
are put off by their lack of knowledge and confidence, and you
could
give them just the start they need.
If you are willing to give
it a go, please let me know, stating the
type of help you could offer -
general organic veg growing,
permaculture growing, or maybe a speciality like
fruit growing,
grafting apples or setting up an asparagus bed....
Hope
to hear from some of you,
Lorraine
