Ragmans Lane Farm - Permaculture Skill Sharing and Networking Open Day
2 July 2011 10am - 4pm
An opportunity to visit Ragmans Lane Farm a 60 acre organic farm where permaculture principles have been applied to its work and use of the land over the last 20 years.
The Open Day will include:
a tour of the farm, skill demonstrations and practicals in cultivating mushrooms on logs, tool sharpening and repair, talks about setting up and maintaining a diverse organic orchard and everything you want to know about willow but had never thought ask!
There will be a session by the Permaculture Association about the LAND (Learning and Network Demonstration) Project and a facilitated networking session to hook people up with each other or with similar questions to share experience and ideas.
Ragmans is a working farm so be prepared for uneven ground, rabbit holes, mud. Please be mindful of animals, electric fences, machinery, ponds etc, Much of the day’s programme is outside so please bring sturdy footwear and waterproofs. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult at all times Sorry no dogs allowed.
