About Westley Farm
Westley farm is an 80 acre farm where wild woods and banks of cowslips and orchids are rated with equal importance to the raising of cattle and sheep. The traditional hay meadows, ancient woodland, regenerating coppice and species rich limestone grassland on the farm have ensured our acceptance onto the Higher Level Stewardship Scheme.
Why Courses and Events?
We are branching out from our award-winning holiday business (we won the Cotswold Tourism ‘Best Self-Catering Business of the Year 2010) to encourage more people to get active and enjoy the Great Outdoors. By joining in practical courses on the farm, we hope more people will get up close experience our shared natural and environmental heritage. We hope that by learning to cherish and understand our world we will want to live in a more sustainable way.
Community and Education Links
As well as running courses with local tutors and Conservation Days with Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust, we are building stronger links with Transition Stroud, Stroud Apple Town, Gloucestershire Orchard Project, Stroud College, and various home education networks. If you would like your organization or group to enjoy and learn from the farm, we would love to hear from you.
Days Out and Parties
If your business, organization, family or friends would like to use the farm for an away day, team building occasion, party or simply for having fun, do give us a call.
