Lacrosse Update

All,

I hope everyone is having a great summer. Last night the board meet to close out a great 2019 season and begin to prepare for next season.

With the addition to our family of our daughter and work I am unable to continue to invest the time needed into the program and have stepped down as the head coach. This was a very difficult decision that my family and I have made but we feel it is the right one. I have built many great relationships throughout my time coaching and am very grateful that coach Bush gave me the opportunity to coach at Chelsea. The five seniors this year led the way in cementing the culture of the program and setting it up for great success in the future and I am very thankful for that.

If there is anything I can do for anyone in the future don’t hesitate to reach out to me as I will still be involved in the community. I wish all of you the best in the future.

Mr. Bush will be opening the head coaching position in the very near future. Please instruct any possible candidates to contact him directly.

Chelsea Lacrosse Families:

I want to thank Coach Koengeter for all of his hard work as our head coach.  I am sad to see him step away, but I totally understand where he is at with his life.  The job will be advertised as soon as we get past July 4.  We will do interviews in Mid August and hope to have a head coach in place before the start of school.  We will have parent representation on the hiring committee.  If you have questions please reach out to me.  I am out of the office for the next two weeks but will be checking my email occasionally.
