*We are now called Chelsea Soup. Please join the email group that
Gonzalo started if you haven't yet. There were too many delays and
possible drawbacks with calling it Yellow Door Soup as we had discussed
at our first meeting. Barring any more huge unforeseeable delays we are
still aiming for a March 11th Soup. Attached is the press release that I
will be sending to the SunTimes.
*
***Below is the blurb that will be printed on the tickets, if you have
any problems with either of these let me know in the next hour or so. I
know that means that many of you won't read it but that is unfortunately
how it is when I am doing this sort of work and just have to get tasks
completed even though it hasn't all been discussed in detail.
*
*"Chelsea Soup is a public dinner funding micro-grantsfor the creative
individual group and will be held at the Friends Center Building at 7748
Clark Lake Road on March 11th. Cost of the dinner is a $5 to $10
donation. **All money raised beyond the cost of the dinner will go to
the micro-grant recipient. The winner will be announced at the end of
the evening. **
*
*Doors will open at 5:00p.m., grant presentations will be at 5:15 with a
dinner of soup, salad, and bread served around 5:40. Water, decaf
coffee, and tea will be available for diners but if you want something
else to drink please bring your own beverages and glasses. After
dinner, dessert will be served and the votes will be turned in. *
*We have tickets so our cooks will know how many people are coming. If
you take a ticket you have taken a spot and even if you are unable to
come to the dinner you are expected to make the donation. **Parking is
limited please carpool with friends as much as possible.*
