Solarize Chelsea on May 18th

Hello everyone,

Longtime Transition Town member and solar enthusiast John Gourlay has announced the next Solarize Chelsea event, which is to take place at his home.  We are all invited:

Chelsea Solar Seekers:

You are invited to Chelsea Solarize, a residential solar energy group-buy meeting at my house Wednesday, May 18, 7 pm. I’m inviting you because you've expressed an interest in this idea, most likely at the Chelsea Solarize presentation I gave in April at the Chelsea library with John Freeman of the Great Lakes Renewable Energy Association.

On Wednesday evening Larry Kerber from Homeland Solar will explain how to get a bid for installing solar at your house (it’s simple), what the options are, what the installation process will be like, etc. If three or more people at this meeting sign contracts with Homeland in the next several weeks everyone will receive a 5% discount. Attending the meeting does not obligate you in any way. If you can’t come to the meeting but do want to investigate the group-buy, let me know and we’ll make it happen.

If you like, come a few minutes early for a quick tour of my solar installation. If for no other reason, come for cookies and coffee and to meet neighbors who are interested in energy independence.
