A SPECIAL NOTE | JANUARY 21, 2014
Dear Church,
This Sunday, January 26, marks a pivotal moment in the history of our Trinity Grace Church family. For the first time in nearly eight years, we will suspend all of our individual parish meetings to join together for one gathering with our entire church community. Our hope is to pause for one weekend, stepping out of the rhythm of our regular exercises of faith, to reflect on how God has moved and will continue to move through our church.
This Sunday's gathering will begin at 10 a.m., though we invite you to join us early for pre-service prayer at 9:00 a.m. in the auditorium. We will meet at Washington Irving High School and childcare is provided for the morning starting at 9:45 a.m. Parents must register children in advance online at trinitygracechurch.com/childcareregistration by tomorrow evening. We will resume our neighborhood gathering times in regular locations on Sunday, February 2.
Address:
Washington Irving High School
40 Irving Place
between 16th and 17th Streets
If you have been a longtime member of Trinity Grace, we pray this weekend is a joyous reunion of friends coming together to celebrate and worship the Lord. If you have recently joined our community or are still considering if Trinity Grace Church is the place God is inviting you to call home, we hope this Sunday acts as a window into the fullness of the story God is weaving of grace and renewal here in New York City.
Have a fantastic week and we look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
Grace and peace,
Jon Tyson Lead Pastor Trinity Grace Church
Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God's people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.
- Ephesians 2:19-22
