My apologies for cross-posting.

Some of you may have already seen this announcement via the Division 26 Announce-only list. We received a message via Krishna Kumar of Division 46 that Dr. Frank Farley has passed away (her original message is below).

Frank was a dedicated member of Division 26. He was a Past APA President (1993) as well as being Past President of 26 (2022). More recently, he served as Co-Program Chair in 2024 and 2022.

Best,

Dear Members of Div 46,

I am sad to inform you that I learned today from his sister, Kay Lewis, that Dr. Frank Farley passed away on March 20, 2026. As we all know, Frank was a distinguished world-renowned psychologist and scholar who taught at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Temple University, Philadelphia. He loved the American Psychological Association, serving as the 1993 President. He was one of the most active, longstanding members of the APA, where he served in many capacities over many years, including serving as President of several APA Societies. We all have many fond memories of his friendship.

From Dr. Grant J. RIch via Division 26 Announce-only list:

Here's a brief bio of him I pulled from a media psychology book we edited together in 2024 with Krishna Kumar.
I miss him terribly. He was a truly extraordinary psychologist, and more importantly, human being. His life touched so many around the globe, at home, and he was a committed vegetarian and lover of animals.
