Cheers to each one of us for a wonderful cricketing season.

When we started , we were just a bunch of cricket enthusiasts with nothing much in common...

We did not do any massive man hunting/strategising/game planning.

But still we managed to play all the matches and complete the tournament with the full team unlike many  teams which disintegrated in between.

I don't know if you guys have noticed it , the team in the last game was almost same as the team in the first game....!

 

Playing cricket was the only aim and it was 4 months of unlimited fun - my thought !

 

I still remember the struggle to get 11 people for the first match , but even then we had our team jerseys ready ! And I don't think any other team had a proper team jersey....! thanks to all who contributed for that....!

 

I have tried my best to give equal opportunities for all...I appologize if any one felt otherwise at any point of time...Consider it as the oversight of an in-experienced captain!. Atleast we ensured that everyone gets to bat in all the games :-)

 

Kudos to each and everyone of us who showed the spirit and stayed with the team even at bad times...

 

For me it was the most exciting cricket season i ever had in my life.........

 

 

Let us plan for a small outing for Cheers XI.I am thinking of the weekend after the long weekend.

We would go out somewhere , play some game( other than cricket ! ) for sometime , have some nice food/beer etc and have fun....

Ideas and suggestions are welcome...

 

Wondering what to do in the weekends to come....how to fill this gap !

Hi Everyone! Firstly I would like to congratulate Harish and Bibin on putting together this wonderful team.  It sure was a great season.  I thoroughly enjoyed each and every moment and am very glad to have made some very good friends. I hope that the end of the cricketing season does not keep us from meeting often.

We went to Highland Park last weekend for the onam celebrations and it was pretty nice. We could always go there again if noboday has any other suggestions.

It has couple of volleyball courts also.We could try some volleyballing.......

Since Saturday we are having India's match and on Sunday we have the virtual matrix finals that some pepl will be interested to watch , I guess we can push this to next weekend. we will have time to plan something nice....

It's sad to note the lack enthusiasm for our Cheers XI team picnic.  I hope the picnic plan has not been dropped  It would be great to go on a Picnic while the weather is still good and before it turns too cold and everyone plan their fall trips. 

 

The Cheers XI Expense Account has been open for quite a long time! Keeping in mind that few of you guys have incurred a lot of expenses to keep the team going, I hope everyone would cooperate to close the accounts at the earliest.  Bibin sir, please do send a mail with the detailed & updated accounts to those of us yet to settle, along with the account number to effect a transfer.
