CheerpJ Beta 3 to be released Monday Nov 13 and planned downtime on Sunday Nov 12

We are happy to announce a new release of CheerpJ, “Beta 3”, which will be available on Monday, November 13th.

Beta 3 will feature a new version of the AOT compiler, as well as a new cloud runtime, which will be incompatible with previous versions of CheerpJ (Beta 2 and pre-Beta versions). CheerpJ Beta 3 will introduce several new features, including native browser printing, a fully reworked graphical architecture, and numerous performance and size optimisations. A full change log will be published on Monday.

Therefore, after the new release is available, we recommend all beta users of CheerpJ to recompile their applications and libraries to take advantage of performance improvements and new features, and to ensure compatibility with the new runtime.

There will be a planned downtime of the cloud runtime (https://cjrtnc.leaningtech.com) on Sunday, November 12th from 8am GMT to 4pm GMT, to allow for the runtime to be fully updated.
