Alright, so hey, I am reaching out to you all with a request. I'd love your help on this project I'm putting together to get a computer programming club (
Hackers Club) going at Voyager Public Charter School where I teach Language Arts. I am campaigning for 15 new laptops for students to use Google's CS First curriculum (yup, Joe Holberg's program). We'll be the first school in Hawaii to implement this hands-on, fun, and powerful curriculum that teaches students how to use coding to create games, music, animation, and more. I'll finally get to put my nerdy programming hobby to use :)
Please consider donating to this project and/or blasting out this DonorsChoose campaign for Hackers Club to your network <3 If folks donate this week, DC will match their donation of up to $100.
Please help make Hackers Club possible! I'll make it happen ;o)
Thank you for your help! Let's connect for real soon. I'd love to hear about what's going on in your world :)
Besos,
amy
Aloha friends,
I want to make sure my students are equipped with the important 21st century skills they need to succeed, so I just created a campaign for Hackers Club at DonorsChoose.org:
CHECK THIS OUT---> Give to my classroom by November 3, 2014 and your donation will be doubled thanks to DonorsChoose.org. Just enter the code SPARK on the payment page and you'll be matched dollar for dollar (up to $100). Woah! <---CHECK THIS OUT
Hackers Club will be the first of its kind in Hawaii. We are in partnership with Google's CS First, a curriculum that allows student imaginations to run free as they use coding to create games, music, animation and more.
If you chip in to help my students, you'll get awesome photos and our heartfelt thanks.
Thanks so much, Amy
P.S. If you know anyone who may want to help my classroom, please pass this along!
