I appreciate your enthusiasm for contributing to Checkstyle! However, I’m not actively contributing to Checkstyle myself. I am a GSoC contributor, but I am not part of that organization, so I don’t have direct insights into their contribution process.

I recommend checking out the mentors and maintainers of the Checkstyle project. You can usually find them in the project’s GitHub repository or on their mailing list. They would be the best people to guide you on how to contribute.
