Okee Dokee Brothers, Tuesday, February 7, 7 pm.
You do NOT want to miss this! Folk music written with kids in mind, this band has been lauded by people of all ages. Come join us...and bring the whole family...and your neighbors...and their whole family... From their website: "… the young duo has gained a loyal grassroots following that is drawn to their witty lyrics, off-the-wall humor, strong musicianship, and unique folk style. Civil War Discussion: U.S. Grant Thursday, February 9, 7 pm
The Honorable Jon Maturi leads a discussion about the U.S. Civil War era. The particular focus will be The Rise & Fall of Ulysses S. Grant--Fort Henry to Shiloh. No pre-reading is necessary...just an interest in American history
Harvest the Rain: Rain gardens for Gardens, Wildlife, Clean Lakes & Rivers, Thursday, February 16, 7 pm
Learn how rain gardens function; how to plan, construct and maintain a rain garden in your yard and how you can the environment benefit. Dr. Mary Blickenderfer

Studio 321 Build a Bridge Tuesday, February 21, 1:00 pm
The program begins with the reading of The Magic School Bus Under Construction. The children will be challenged to build their own bridge out of gumdrops and toothpicks! Using taconite pellets as weights, the children predict how many pellets their bridge will hold. Then they try to change their design to build a stronger bridge and then retest it
Family Movie Night Thursday, February 23, 6:00 pm
This month we will present Winnie the Pooh on the big screen in the community room! Bring dinner or a snack and join us!
The World’s Oil and Global Warming Tuesday, February 28, 7:00 pm
Dr. Richard Ojakangas gives a fully illustrated presentation describing how and when oil if formed, where the world's oil reserves are located, "peak oil" and the world's consumption. Natural gas and fracking are included. How does the use of oil and other fossil fuels contribute to global warming? What non polluting energy alternatives do we have? Are there solutions?
Story Times
Story Times will be Mondays February 6, 13, 27 at 9:30 and 10:30, and every Saturday at 10:30. Led by ECFE teachers, the Story Times include books, rhymes, songs, movement and fun! Snack and crafts follow.
Tax forms (state and federal) are available in the lobby of the Library
Winter Reading Programs
It's time for WINTER READING!! Sign up and pick up your book reading track, then Curl up with a good Book through February. Return the completed reading track by the end of February, and pick out a free book!
Teens can “Jump into Reading” pick up a log, and record the number of pages read. Return the completed log for a prize!
