I challenged my husband to join me on the next level. No, I am not awaiting some alien lost tribe, trying a new colonic or putting my marriage to some Oprah magazine test- I am referring to the levels of couponing. And I have to admit in a relatively short period of time I have become a zealot.

 

Level One- Shopper scans ads and aisles for deals.

 

Level Two- Shopper makes a list BEFORE they go shopping.

 

Level Three- Shopper makes a list BEFORE shopping and matches up deals with LATEST coupon circular.

 

Level Four- Shopper makes a list BEFORE shopping and matches up deals with their coupon archive using a coupon database.

 

Level Five: Shopper makes a list BEFORE shopping, matches up deals with their coupon archive using a coupon database and earns cash back through participating in rewards programs such as Upromise, YourBucks etc.

 

Level Six: Shopper makes a list BEFORE shopping, matches up deals with their coupon archive using a coupon database. earns cash back through participating in rewards programs such as Upromise, YourBucks etc; and FINALLY becomes one with the coupon system that they sense deals coming on and creatively devise ways to make more- like buying Jewls gift certificates to get Catalina dollars (see past deals section below, if you missed that hint).

 

My husband is currently a satellite to my coupon system, a conduit between myself and savings as I do not shop- I just plot and instruct. I suspect he may drink the kool aid I get for free, but never really believe.... alas. What level are YOU?
