I love the look of the unit, like the fact that the transformer is completely contained within the unit and it appears solidly made. The unit has a ton of LED bulbs that produce two levels of light in a very pleasing color. Unfortunately the unit has a serious design flaw that makes it nearly impossible to install without modifying the unit. The design flaw is that the bolts for opening and closing the wiring and mounting area of the lamp are on the backside of the lamp, and when properly mounted, the backside of the lamp is against the wall (ergo, it is impossible to screw the unit shut or to the underside of the cabinet after the wires are attached). To be fair, the unit is designed to be hung using pre-positioned screws under a cabinet and then sliding the light onto them. Of course, this assumes the backside screws could be tightened (impossible without lots of in-wall redundancy in power cable), and sliding the lamp onto pre-mounted screws means it will not be tightly mounted under the counter. This important, as the unit could easily slip off the slide-on screws when the power switch is operated. I was eventually able to mount the light after modifying it by though-screwing the unit to the cabinet underside (use 1 1/2 inch screws).

If I had to rate the unit based on the light alone after mounting, I would give it 5 stars, but if I rated it including the design error that essentially prevents mounting, I would give it 0 stars. Since 0 stars is not possible, I have given it a 1 star rating. Now that the lights are installed, I like the performance. However, it took me and hour of frustration to figure out that the units are impossible to install as designed and need to be modified. If you are comfortable with dealing with a poor design and modifying a brand new light, these might be good for you. Otherwise, I would rate these as "not acceptable" and would recommend looking elsewhere for an under-counter lamp.
