Very reason we bought this bed, that it is solid wood happens to be its biggest weakness..they have used a very bad quality wood, solid or not. It has cracks and faults all over the pieces.

If your goal is to pay a hundred dollars more and get a better quality bed then the one sold in IKEA, think again..I strongly urge you to get the one sold in IKEA which is cheaper and more sturdy...

I will pass the installation instructions which clearly indicates that this is a whole sale bed from Alibaba.com proxy purchased by Bedz King..I will rather focus on the built quality...

Yes it is solid wood, but it is the worst quality of it..Bed came in two separate boxes which I could carry both under each arm..They were so light I though the bed was made of balsa wood..

As soon as I opened the package I notice structural issues with the wood with cracks..Obviously, the worse part of the tree was used to manufacture this bed..

I did not get discouraged and installed it..My 2 year old liked it a lot...I am sure as long as it is solely used by little kids we woudl not have issues..But when I sit on it to put her to bed, in a matter of second one of the slates broke, not cracked, but broke..
The bed is off limit to me now..

I will look for a way to return it..But to return an already installed bed is hell..

will I eat the $220 I spent a trash this..probably...
